COVID-19 Health Safety Practices
To best align our practice with COVID-19 health and safety protocols set forth by the CDC, we are taking all necessary precautions to protect those we deliver care to. Our number one priority is your safety and that of our team and the community. To learn more about our safety measures, please review the following:
TO PROTECT YOU:
- ALL persons entering our office are immediately prompted to sanitize their hands
- We conduct a COVID-19 Pre-Screening on entry (COVID questionnaire and temperature check)
- ALL patients and team members are required to wear a mask that covers their nose and mouth when in our facility
- We wash and disinfect our hands between each patient interaction
- All surfaces and equipment are disinfected between each patient interaction
- Glasses are sanitized after being tried on
- Scheduled patients are spaced out to no more than two per hour to prevent crowding in common areas
- Employees are told not to report to work if they have a cough or feel ill
- We gratefully postpone the appointments of our patients experiencing COVID symptoms
REASONS TO CONSIDER RESCHEDULING YOUR APPOINTMENT: (FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY)
- You are over the age of 65
- You have an 'at risk' medical condition (e.g. Heart Disease, Lung Disease, Diabetes, HIV or other autoimmune condition such as Lupus or Rheumatoid Arthritis)
- You are currently undergoing Chemotherapy
- You've you had a recent organ transplant or removal of your spleen
- Long term use of prednisone or immunosuppressive medications
- You are pregnant or there is a possibility that you may be pregnant
REASONS TO RESCHEDULE YOUR APPOINTMENT: (FOR THE SAFETY OF OTHERS)
- You've lost your sense of taste or smell, experienced a fever, cough, trouble breathing, or had flu-like symptoms in the last 14 days
- You’ve had recent contact with someone infected with a respiratory illness, or with a person that has a possible or confirmed case of COVID-19
- Recent travel outside of the country
HOW YOU CAN HELP PREVENT PROPAGATION OF THE VIRUS:
- Frequently wash your hands and scrub with soap for over 20 seconds
- Wear a face mask when within six feet of people
- Use a paper towel to open doors when possible
- Avoid touching your face, eyes and mouth
- Cover coughs and sneezes, but not with your hands (e.g. cough and sneeze into your arm)
- Exercise social distancing
- Avoid handshakes and hugs
- Avoid unnecessary travel
- If ill, stay at home
