Meet the Eye Care Team

Hello friends! I grew up in Illinois in the lovely suburb of Waukegan, just north or Chicago, and have called the Valley of the Sun my home since 2005. What started as a part time job in college became an 30+ year optical career that led me to Eyes on Hayden in November of 2021. In that time, I have been an Optician and managed luxury optical shops throughout Chicago, Las Vegas and the Phoenix area. I have a passion for beautiful and unique eyewear and love helping people build their optical wardrobes (cause you can’t stop at just one pair!). 

When I’m not working with my Eyes on Hayden family, I enjoy hiking and eating my way around the Valley with my husband David and adult kids (Ashley, Michael and Trey… Yikes! Time flies!). We also have a cat named Kitty Jones who is the “Queen” of our house, or so she likes to think! I can’t wait to meet you and help you build your beautiful optical wardrobe!

Hi! I’m Betsy and am excited to have joined the Eyes on Hayden team in early 2022. With 15 years of experience in the optical field, I am thrilled to be working alongside Dr. Krywko and her amazing team of eye care professionals. As an Optician, I love every aspect of assisting patients with their new eyewear; from styling our patients in exceptional frames to ensuring an incredible experience from start to finish. I thoroughly enjoy it all! 

I have an associate’s degree in Theater Arts, and feel that my background in theater has enhanced the level of customer service I provide. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family, traveling, trying new restaurants, and daily exercise.

Hey everybody! I was born and raised in Bowling Green, Kentucky and moved to the Phoenix area in June of 2023. I have been working in optics as an optician, OD tech, lab assistant and have worked with multiple different insurance companies for the last 5 years! I originally went to Eastern Kentucky University to study archaeology, but found a love for the optical field during COVID. What I truly love about the field is meeting new people from so many different walks of life and helping those people with their eyecare needs. I also have a huge passion for learning. 

When I am not working I love to go fishing, paddle boarding, hiking, kayaking and reading! I also have a cat, Mr. Gumdrop, who is essentially my child. I can't wait to meet you and help you with your eyecare needs!

Hello, I'm Kendall! I was born and raised in Arizona. I absolutely love the sunshine state and I'm lucky that I get to call this place my home. Before having the wonderful opportunity to get an amazing position at Eyes on Hayden, I managed to get an associate's degree in fine arts from Scottsdale Community College. The classes I took to achieve this degree made me see things from multiple points of view, which definitely helps with my understanding of guest service. 

When I am not working at Eyes on Hayden, I enjoy taking pictures with my own DSLR camera and trying to control my two guinea pigs and dog. I also love to spend time with my family by watching TV shows or movies or just having a casual conversation. I can't wait to meet you with a smile and try my best to provide amazing service.
